Welcome to Shega Insights (“we,” “our,” “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Shega Insights platform, including datasets, dashboards, Ask Shega, reports, articles, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). Please read them carefully.

By creating an account, accessing, or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use Shega Insights.

1. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Services.

You agree to provide accurate and complete account information and keep it up to date.
You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials. Any activity under your account will be deemed your responsibility.
For enterprise or team subscriptions, you agree not to share login credentials beyond the authorized seats purchased.

2. Services and Use License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Services for internal business or personal purposes in accordance with these Terms.

You may not:

Resell, redistribute, or publicly display Shega Insights data or outputs without written permission.
Scrape, mine, or systematically download datasets, dashboards, or content.
Reverse engineer or attempt to access the underlying code or models.
Use the Services in violation of applicable laws or regulations.

3. Subscriptions, Billing, and Cancellation

Certain features are available only through paid subscriptions. Pricing and billing terms are provided at the time of purchase.
Subscription fees are billed in advance and are non-refundable, except where required by law.
You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if payments are not received or if you breach these Terms.

4. Data, Content, and AI Usage

The Services provide access to datasets, dashboards, articles, reports, and AI-generated responses (“Content”).
Content is provided for informational purposes only and should not be relied on as professional, financial, investment, or legal advice.
While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee completeness, reliability, or timeliness of any Content.
AI-generated responses from Ask Shega may contain inaccuracies or omissions. You are responsible for verifying critical information before relying on it.
Any misuse of Content (including redistribution without authorization or misrepresentation) is strictly prohibited.

5. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in the Services and Content remain the property of Shega or its licensors.
You may not use our trademarks, logos, or branding without our prior written consent.
You retain ownership of any data or feedback you provide, but grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to use feedback for improving the Services.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Services to:

Upload or transmit harmful code or interfere with the platform.
Attempt unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or networks.
Misuse Content to build competing products.
Engage in unlawful, abusive, or fraudulent activity.

7. Third-Party Services

The Services may include links to third-party websites, datasets, or resources. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of such third parties. Use of third-party services is at your own risk.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shega Insights and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising out of your use or inability to use the Services.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

10. Privacy and Data Protection

Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We process your personal information in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms, fail to pay subscription fees, or misuse the Services. Upon termination, your right to use the Services ceases immediately.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ethiopia (or the jurisdiction of incorporation of Shega, if different). Any disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably; if not, they shall be subject to the courts of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

13. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The most current version will be posted on this page. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
